5 simple desk movements for mid-day relief!

Whether your day-to-day setup is based indoors or outdoors remaining still for too long can lead our bodies to stiffen causing pain or injury.

In previous blogs, we discussed the effects of prolonged sitting and workspace setups and the impacts this has on our bodies. Working long and tiring days can leave us feeling sluggish and lethargic which can lead to the stiffening of muscles.

Don’t forget to take breaks! Take a 1-2 minute break every 30-60 minutes to stand up and walk around to stretch your body. This is not only great for your body, but also for your eyes and mind.
The stretches and exercises that follow are simple ways to add movement for our muscles throughout the day. These can all be completed from the comfort of our chairs or a bench. They allow our bodies to release stress and keep proactive throughout the day.
